ooc: Alright, here's my dude. Name: Roland Hreinn. Gender:Male. Age: 25. Personality: A down to earth and lax man, Roland it easy going for the most part. He tolerates a lot and generally does what he can to stay out of trouble, although he is not much of a people person. He prefers the company of animals more so than the company of people, since he gets anxious and uncomfortable when too many people—mostly strangers—are all around him and so Roland usually tries to keep away from such nonsense. He does when he can to stay on everyone’s good side, not wanting them to be angry with him since he gets worked up when someone is upset with him. Roland is sensitive, although he attempts to hide that fact and appear confident and all that, but he’s overall meek and skittish. But upon warming up to someone, Roland is pretty cuddly and is thrilled to make those he is close with happy by all means. He turns into an obedient puppy practically, until he gets hurt emotionally. Then Roland becomes wary and shies off, uncertainty clouding his mind. Looks:Roland is around 5’10” and weighs in about 170lbs. His hair is a dark brown with his eyes having a chocolate brown color to them. For attire, he wears his cotton pettie coat over top of a black and red plaid long sleeved button up jacket, with a plain white t-shit underneath. His pants are fitting, dark washed blue jeans and he wears black low-top boots. He wears a black beanie, as his ears are quite sensitive due to past ear problems and infections. He has deer hoof prints tattoo along his spine that are about two inches in length each, as he feels an odd spiritual connection to the animal. Roland gets embarrassed talking about such, but it’s thanks to his parents and how they brought him up to understand animal totems, spirits and all.

Aaron looked around, her blue eyes catching a glint of light that seeped through the crack of the drainage pipe she was sitting in. Quite a long way she had come yet she couldn’t image stopping just yet. Only the pain in her feet was what had caused her to take refuge in a stack of drainage pipes on an abandoned construction site. Quietly she had gotten somewhat comfortable, placing her back against the side so that she could see out both ways. A rusty pistol lay in her lap, the few bullets she owned other than what was in the chamber were stuffed in her jean pockets. Straight brown hair that normally reached her waist was cropped off, choppy and rough and up to her ears. It had been done with a knife in the heat of a moment but that wasn’t a thought she wanted to reflect on.
Closing her eyes, she rested her head back as well, tipping up her chin slightly. Her right hand lay lightly upon her pistol and her ragged backpack lay against her on her left. Reaching up to placed her feet that were wearing boots upon the other side so that her knees lightly rested against her chest, the girl tried her best to give her weary body a break. It wouldn’t last long, the silence that only the breeze disturbed would soon bring news of those bikers that had taken over about twenty years ago. Yes, it had happened the year she had been born. Such a way to come into a world, a world that had broken into war. Finally it seemed the economy could take no more and the bikers had decided they would no longer respect it. Now they were in charge and had remained strong ever since.

Wandering. Wandering aimlessly was all Roland could do now. The bikers were after him for an accident he caused almost a week ago. Or was it two? He had lost track of time after trekking throughout the lands for so long and doing his best to make a decent living with what little was provided to him. But nonetheless, he managed to keep himself together even though the soles of his feet ached, his legs struggled to keep moving forward, but his brain felt that he could go for another couple of miles.
Roland was a simple Canadian man who wound up in the wrong place at the wrong time. He hadn’t meant for the gun to go off. He thought it was broken, given it’s banged up state. But it was too late as the bullet pierced through the head of one of the bikers who had been bantering an older man, which caused all hell to break loose.
“Stop it,” Roland muttered to himself, pushing the memory to the back of his mind. Reflecting on such an event was not necessary. A momentary safe haven was what he needed just to rest for awhile and to keep out of site. Those damnable bikers wanted him dead because of his idiocy. He simply wished to live in peace, without a care in the world. But now such a dream was futile with those bikers running amuck. They were like a blood thirsty pack of wolves and he was the wounded deer they were hunting day and night.

The sound of footsteps upon gravel caught the girl's immediate attention and her blue eyes snapped out. Dropping down her feet she moved so that she was laying upon her belly with the pistol in her right hand. Eyes narrowing she crawled to the edge of the pipe, staying down so that she couldnt be seen very easy. As she looked out of the pipe she saw a lone person walking. He wasnt anyone she had seen before and she wondered if he was tracking her?
Crawling back, Aaron slipped out the otherside, slipping her backpack over her shoulders quietly. She would find out who this stranger was and see if he had anything important for her to take. Keeping to the shadows she followed him. She stayed far enough back so that he couldnt hear her footsteps and sometimes she would let him get completely out of site before catching back up. He didnt seem to be tracking or he wouldnt still be going this way so it seemed safe enough to make a move.
Up ahead seemed to be a vast never ending land that had no where to hide. Aaron knew she had to do it now, no way would she follow him out there. "Hey!" her voice rang out as she took off running towards him, gun hidden in the back of her jeans. "Hey you! Help me please!" Tears stared slidding down her face as she put on a terrified expression.

Roland froze in his steps, hairs rising on the nape of his neck as his body became rigid. The corners of his mouth drew back as his lips thinned as his expression twisted into one of fear. The voice caught him by surprise. He hadn’t thought that there would anyone out here in this desolate wasteland. Then again, he was expecting to hear the sounds of roaring motorcycles rather than one of a terrified woman.
He drew in a deep breath before his lips parted and he released it with a slow, cool stream. His mind was telling him to carry on and ignore the stranger, but his good nature told him otherwise. He couldn’t turn his back on someone, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be wary either.
“What’s wrong, miss?” Roland asked as he reluctantly turned to face her, taking two steps back to keep safe space. He set a hand upon the rugged, tan messenger back that was slung over his shoulder and rested upon his left hip. His few belongings were kept in there. It wasn’t much, but they kept him going. There was also a Beretta handgun resting on his other hip. The firearm was scarcely used, as Roland wasn’t one for violence for the most part.
His eyes looked over the woman, spying that look of trepidation masked on her face. Nonetheless, he kept his guard up as she was an unfamiliar person to him and no-one could be trusted in these parts. His legs wanted him to run, to flee far away, but his feet remained planted upon the ground.

"You have to help me sir! Please!" her tone was desperate, her eyes now pleading as she glanced over her shoulder before again looking at him. "They took my things, I cant live without them." Aaron had decided right before calling out that she would hide her backpack. If this guy decided to take her things she would have nothing to give him besides a bullet in the face. It had also given her a good excuse. "It has my food and water." She whimpered quietly, hoping he'd either offer to help her get it back and she could jump him where no one could see back at the construction place or he'd just give her stuff now willingly.
Glancing again over her shoulder she pointed back to the construction site. "They are back there. Oh please, please help me" she said looking back at him.

“I, uh, well,” he stammered. It would be good to help her retrieve her items, but fighting wasn’t what he fancied. He’d prefer to go his merry way, but he wanted to help. Needed to help. Even though it was out of his comfort zone and was a far stretch, Roland had to—reluctantly—agree to help her. There was no way a person would leave a fellow wanderer deserted out in these parts. Not with those wretched bikers about. Roland sighed and nodded his head.
“Okay, miss. I’ll help you,” he spoke up, his voice was quiet as he could feel the weight of the situation crash onto his shoulders. His heart was wild within his chest, his mind reeling over possible situations that could happen. He didn’t know how many where out there. There could be a good dozen and Roland could get shot in the process. He was too young to die. But at least he’d go down trying to help a person he supposed.

Aaron gave him a joyful smile. "Oh thank you so much!" she said happily. Turning, she faced back at the construction site and wondered just where she would pull this off. "I wish I didnt have to go back" she murmured to herself just loud enough for him to hear. She had to be convincing and any person just robbed wouldnt be so willing to go back. Glancing back at him she nervously picked at her fingers before she began walking back towards the site. "I'll show you where they took my things" she told him, her voice shaky with nervousness. If she was an animal instead of a person, many had told her she would be a fox.
As they reached the construction site she began leading him through it. Around gravel piles, equipment and things, Aaron saw the drainage pipe she had been in earlier. That would be a good place to hide him if she had to knock him out or worse.... kill him. Glancing again to him and how nice he was being she decided that she wouldnt kill him unless it was a life or death situation. "They were over there" she said, pointing to behind an old fallen down building. As soon as he would pass she would knock him out with the butt of her gun.

Silence had shrouded him as he only nodded his head. This was nerve-racking. He was putting his life on the line to help out this complete stranger. What was wrong with him? Perhaps it was because he wished the world were a better place and that everyone was kind to one another rather than hostile and two-faced. A dry gulp constricted within his throat as he hesitated in his steps before pushing himself forwards.
Roland’s hand had rested upon his handgun, his brown eyes searching this way and that for the people who had taken the woman’s things. They could be hiding anywhere. Within the shadows, behind a wall, underneath some equipment, or even in a foxhole if there were some around. His skittishness was showing as his breathing became uneven, his hand on his gun started to tremble.
No, he could do this. He had to help this woman no matter what. He remembered what his mother told him before he took off to make a living for himself. “The world could use some light in these dark times.”
Forcing himself to gather his wits about him, Roland forced his hand to calm as he approached the construction site. The scent of dirt and grime were strong here and were carried with the faint breeze. Drainage pipes and misshapen beams were laid haphazard all over the area, as dust covered trucks, big and small, were parked this way and that. Such a sight caused him to shudder at the thought of how many thugs could be lurking about.

Suddenly the distant sound of thunder caught her attention and her breath caught in her throat. Aaron glanced over, her eyes squinting against the sunlight and there off in the distance she could make out the shiny shapes of several bikes. Without any hesitation or any other thought of the man 'helping' her, Aaron turned and ran. Light on her feet she sprinted off to the cover of the first drainage pipe she had hid in. If the man followed her she didnt pay attention because she was too focused on finding safety as the thunder grew louder.
As the bikes reached the construction site they came to a stop. Voices spoke up, men talking to one another over the loud sound of their motorcycles. She couldnt make out what they were saying and wished she could get a closer look but she wouldnt risk it. Hopefully they would keep going but her hope was lost when the bikes fell silent as the bikers killed them and started walking to the construction site.

Roland froze dead in his tracks, like a deer caught in headlights. His breath hitched in his throat as he stared wide-eyed at the bikers. His body was unresponsive, his senses going haywire as he stood there dumbstruck with terror. They were looking for him, or so he figured. They wanted him dead for what he had done. It was an accident, he swears it was.
A tick when off in his brain as he snapped back to his senses. Instinct took over as he turned and hightailed it out of that scenario, hoping that he had remained unseen. He bound off, quick on his feet, his hand holding his messenger bag steady as he searched frantically for cover. It was hard to make out what the bikers were saying due to his hard of hearing, but he knew better than to stick around to find out their intentions.
His feet carried him across the dirt ridden landscape, small puffs of dust kicking up in his wake as his eyes saw an opportunity hiding spot. Without second thought, Roland slipped inside the worn drainage pipe, not paying much mind whether it was occupied or not. His breath was ecstatic as he huddled up into a ball, his eyes tight shut in attempt to sooth himself down. His body trembled some as he remained seated in his little ball, trying to hush himself but he was scared for his life. At least his dark clothing kept his hidden away within the shadows of the pipe.

Aaron flinched as the man finally joined her in the pipe. So occupied in trying to track the sounds of the bikers she had not paid him any mind until he was there beside her. Turning on him she felt a sneer try to form on her lips but quickly disposed of it. This guy had tried to help her, she could at least let him hide here.
As the bikers drew closer, Aaron realized that this guys erractic breathing was going to give them away. Without hesitation she reached over and planted her hand firmly over his mouth. Looking over she could see the legs of a biker as he stood near the end of the pipe but had not looked inside...... yet.
